What kind of dishwashing tools do you use at home to wash dishes?

In people for life, every household has its own dishwashing things, such as dishwashing brushes, dishcloths, natural sponges for cleaning, steel wool balls, etc. Dishwashing tools are indispensable items in daily learning life, among them can be helpful by helping students to clean dishes more efficiently and easily. Various traditional Chinese dishwashing tools have been developed over the centuries, and their advantages and disadvantages are described here:

1.One of the most common dishwashing tools is the dishwashing brush, which is usually made from plastic or wood and has bristles that are attached to the brush handle. It is easy to use and clean for students, and is a common choice for many people for a common method of doing things in their homes because it is inexpensive in market price, easy to clean and easy to use. Dishwashing brushes can, however, harden or fall off over time, and web life has a relatively short lifespan.

  2. Sponges: Another widely used dishwashing tool, sponges are made of a porous material that helps remove food debris and stains. They are easy to handle, soft and suitable for cleaning different kinds of dishes. However, sponges are susceptible to bacteria and should be dried thoroughly after cleaning to avoid harboring germs.

3.Rags are usually made of fibers and are soft and durable, making them suitable for cleaning a variety of dishes. Rags are reusable, easy to clean and sanitize, and do not harbor bacteria. Some rags, however, are not very absorbent and must often be wrung out.

A steel wire ball is a dishwashing tool that can remove stubborn stains from dishes and boiler scale. In spite of its powerful cleaning abilities and ability to remove grease and food residue quickly, steel balls may scratch dishes and cause hand injuries if used improperly.

  4. Dish Scraper: Dish scrapers are usually constructed of plastic or metal material and can be used to remove food residue from dishes. Aside from being inexpensive, it's easy for students to use and clean, while businesses can reduce the amount of detergent they use by utilizing it. Dishwashing scrapers, however, may not be suitable for carrying out some problems with surface sensitive dishes and do not remove stubborn stains completely.

Using old loofah pulp as a dishwashing tool is a tradition in my family.

It was my mom's practice to wash the dishes with some old filo pulp from her hometown every year. In order to use old loofah pulp, elders need to dry it in the sun, peel off the skin of the loofah to remove the seeds, hang it up to dry, store it, and take the appropriate length when washing dishes.

One benefit of using loofah pulp for dishwashing is its softness and ease of handling, which allows for a satisfactory level of cleanliness. Additionally, this natural material is non-toxic and eliminates the concern of chemically contaminated food. However, there are drawbacks to using old loofah pulp. Its soft texture makes it less effective at removing tough greasy stains, especially from cutting meats or greasy dishes. Furthermore, being a natural material, loofah pulp is prone to bacteria and mold growth and must be regularly washed and replaced to avoid potential health risks. Its delicate composition also means that improper use can result in breaking or damage, requiring frequent replacement. While loofah pulp can be used for dishwashing purposes, it may not match the cleaning effectiveness and durability of professional kitchen cleaning tools.

In general, the choice of traditional dishwashing tools is determined by factors such as cleaning effectiveness, ease of use, and health. Meanwhile, based on the materials of the dishes and cleaning needs, we can choose the right dishwashing tool. Regardless of the tool you choose, proper use and regular cleaning are important precautions to maintain its health and longevity.
